This project involved the design and fabrication of a new contemporary house situated in Weyangoda, Sri Lanka. The renowned architect Dushmantha Ranabahu oversaw the project, while our team at Kalota was responsible for the interior design.
The house features a long veranda and an attractive courtyard area, which create a natural ventilation system and a cool environment to the total area, complemented by the greenery. The interior design mainly comprises colonial and contemporary wooden furniture, providing a perfect blend of tradition and modernity. The furniture pieces include little dark Burma teak color accents that add depth and character to the space.
The ergonomically designed pantry and open dining and living areas on the ground floor are seamlessly integrated, creating a functional and aesthetically pleasing environment. The open courtyard design adds a sense of spaciousness to the living areas, and the natural ventilation system enhances the comfort of the space.
Our team took a meticulous approach to ensure that every aspect of the design was executed to perfection, from the selection of furniture to the choice of decor items. The end result is a stunning contemporary house that exudes sophistication, elegance, and functionality, making it a perfect representation of modern living in a tropical setting. We are proud to have been part of this project and to have delivered a space that exceeds the client's expectations.
